e      Teachers are the torch bearers – Teacher's Day is celebrated in India on September 5, on the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, second President of India and a great scholar. Teachers Day in St.Elias High School was celebrated not only for one day but two consecutive days.
       Class X B  presented a special assembly on 4th  September, 2015 on the occasion of Teacher’s Day . The assembly began with a prayer service.The students sang appropriate song 'you have made a difference '  and presented  hand made cards and bouquets  as token of their love and appreciation. A beautiful skit was presented. This section was loved and praised by everyone. The day was enjoyed by all the teachers.
       On 5th September, Teachers day began with mass which was celebrated by FR.MILTON GONSALVES. The students  entertained the teachers with beautiful  dance performances. Teachers enjoyed the day thoroughly. It was a day of delight for the teachers to see the talents of their students performing various shows. Students from classes III and IV presented songs  and dance in praise of teachers and were dressed as characters of fairytale. It was eye-catching with colourful costumes.The highlight was the punjabi dance presented by classes V and VI.
       All the teachers of the school were honoured by Fr.Milton Gonsalves, the Manager  of the school, for their commitment and dedication to the cause of education. The function ended with a lavish lunch at The Bombay Barbeque, Bandra.
