India celebrated its 79th Independence Day this year, and to instill the spirit of patriotism among the students, we celebrated the day in our school with great enthusiasm.
A day prior to Independence Day, various competitions were held for the students:
Std. I and II – Drawing Competition
Std. III and IV – Poetry competition tricolour food activity.
The students participated enthusiastically in these competitions, and the winners were awarded certificates. Many students also came dressed in traditional attire in the colours of the tricolour.
On 15th August, the flag hoisting ceremony was held. The national flag was hoisted by our SSC topper, Master Venkatesh Kashipuram, followed by a skit and patriotic songs. Master Venkatesh expressed his thoughts on Independence Day and also shared some motivational words for our students.
Our manager, Rev. Fr. Patrick D’Mello, then addressed the gathering. The programme concluded with our Principal, Sr. Philomena Sequeira, delivering the vote of thanks.
