Independence Day Celebration
On 15th August 2020, our school celebrated the occasion of Independence Day. OurPrincipal Rev.Sr. Philomena Sequeira,our Manager Rev.Fr. Austin Norris, and few teachers who resided close to the school premises attended the celebration at the school ground, whereas the other staff and our school students attended the celebration virtually on Google meet application. The chief guest for this auspicious occasion was the SSC topper of the school Ms. kunjal Padwal. Her parent sand her sibling (brother) also accompanied her at this celebration.The program was hosted by teacher Priya Pai which was followed by a pray recited by teacher Maria Gigool.A patriotic song was played, which brought a feeling of patriotism in all of us. The chief guest Ms. kunjal Padwal spoke her heart out and thanked her parents, the Principal, the Manager, the teachers, the other staff members and all the other people who had some role in her life in achieving the highest percentage in our school.Our Principal Rev. Sr. Philomena Sequeira and ourManagerRev. Fr. Austin Norris also spoke about our chief guest Ms. Kunjal Padwal and how efficient she was in every work she did.They also spoke about the ongoing pandemic (covid 19) and how we can overcome this situation together as a country.We also held few competitions for students virtually.The first competition was the singing competition (patriotic song) for the students of standard 5th. The second competition was the drawing competition for the students from standard 6th to 8th. The third competition was the essay writing competition for the students of standard 9th and 10th. The topic for the drawing and essay writing competition was “Gandagi mukt mera gaon”.The last competition was the quiz competition for the students from standard 5th to 10th.The winners of these competitions were later selected by the appointed teachers. The winners will be rewarded with certificates to appreciate their enthusiasm in participating in the competitions. We concluded the celebration by thanking all the teachers for making the efforts to organize this programme. We also thank our Principal, our Manager and our chief guest for joining us in the celebration and sharing few words of wisdom.Last but not the least we thank our students who actively take part in all the competitions held on this auspicious day.
