This year 2020 Republic Day celebration had pre celebration with the oath ceremony on January 22nd at 10:30 am. Oath ceremony was conducted in school as a welcome to Republic Day. Students swore to protect our rich environment of our country.
On January 26, at the school grounds. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood. The event began at 7:30am with the hoisting of the Indian National Flag by the Chief Guest of the day Mrs. Sangita Sonawane, one of the senior secondary staff mwmber, followed by the National Anthem. The students of 4 houses – Council members, marched in their colourful house uniforms rhythmically to the patriotic tunes played by the school band. The school echoed with patriotic fervour as the children of Class IV A, B and C danced to the tunes of patriotism, sang patriotic songs, and even wore tri-coloured clothes to mark the occasion.
The Chief Guest in his address highlighted the significance of the day, and made the children aware that the future of their country lies in their hands. Hence they need to study well now and inculcate good values in life, which will help them to be good citizens of the country.
Miss Claudine Dsouza welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
Manager For. Austin Norris presided over the programme. The programme concluded with National Anthem.
