on 30th July 2020, the Salaam Bombay foundation organized a seminar for the students of standard 7th to 10th. The seminar was about the harmful effects of tobacco and its effects in relation with the ongoing pandemic situation (covid-19). The speakers for the seminar were Suhani Sharma, Mangesh Chougule and Sir Ajay. The seminar was conducted standard wise. The Principal of our school Rev. Sr. Philomena Sequeira along with the teachers and students attended the seminar. He started the seminar with a few fun questions to grab the attention and interest of the students in the seminar. He continued the seminar by explaining the various precautions we should take during the ongoing pandemic situation (covid-19). He also explained briefly the harmful effects if we don’t follow the precautions. He further continued to explain the harmful effects of tobacco and how it can affect the person who is consuming it, especially during the ongoing pandemic situation. He also did a small activity with the students which helped them to understand the importance of washing their hands frequently. We concluded the seminar by thanking Ajay sir and his team to remove time from their busy schedule and connecting with the students to share the useful information in relation to covid-19 and tobacco.
