Sr. Philomena’s 23 years of service as the Principal of our St. Elias High School stand as a true reflection of this thought. Through her dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment, she has touched the lives of countless students, teachers, and parents. To bid farewell to Sr. Philomena, the Primary Section organised a special programme filled with love, gratitude, and respect.
The programme began with a graceful procession, with our little children accompanying Sister to the hall. Our school choir welcomed Sister with a melodious welcome song. A serene prayer service was then conducted, seeking God’s blessings for the precious gift of Sr. Philomena, who served our school with commitment, love, and devotion.
After the prayer service, the children of each standard presented beautiful dance performances as a tribute to Sister. Once again, the school choir filled the hall with melodious songs, accompanied by a delightful dance. The staff members and students then felicitated Sister with tokens of love and appreciation for her years of selfless service.
The teachers of the Primary Section also presented a special dance performance for Sister, making the moment even more memorable. Sr. Philomena then addressed the students and teachers, expressing her heartfelt gratitude and happiness. Our Manager, Rev. Fr. Patrick D’Mello, also addressed the gathering with warm and encouraging words.
The programme concluded with a hymn dedicated to Sister. It was indeed a memorable and heart-touching day.
