Last year was a wonderful season of hockey in which St. Elias high school girls recorded so many victories and represent  Mumbai at the DSO Maharashtra state level tournaments.
This year after winning the Olympic day tournament  held in June organized by MHA, the girls have shown they are hungry for more success.
In the recently concluded DSO organized hockey t0urnaments at MHA ground Churchgate, our School team playing superb hockey in humid weather conditions, won the DSO under 17 and the Nehru cup suburbs tournaments, and have now qualified for the division level tournaments to be played at the end of septemeber.
The st. Elias team dominated each and every opponent that they played without conceding a goal in both the tournaments. They beat Duruelo convent  in the Nehru cup final by a goal to nil with Aradhana  Jadhav scoring the all important goal, and in the DSO under 17 final they again beat Duruelo convent by two goals to nil with a dominant performance. Both the finals were played in a span of 2 hours, speaks volumes of the girls fitness, grit and determination.
The team played dominating hockey. They were pleasing to watch with their stick work and co-ordination. The applause and reviews received from parents of other school teams and the umpires, says it all. Though the full team played good hockey there were some superb individual performances from – Harshada, Roshni, Aradhana, Diksha, pallavi and priyanka.
Congratulations girls !!!! Wish you’ll win many more tournaments, and keep the St. Elias school flag flying high.
We are all proud of your success.
