Teacher’s Day Celebration

Teacher’s Day is celebrated all over India on 5th of September every year. When Dr. Radhakrishan took the office of the second President of India in 1962, his students approached him to seek permission to celebrate September 5 as a special day. Dr. Radhakrishan instead made a request of them to observe September 5 as Teachers’ Day, to recognise the contribution of teachers to the society. Our school celebrated this occasion online. There was a special assembly conducted for the teachers by the students which included prayer song, dance performances, singing performance etc. It also included students saying few words for their teachers to show their love, respect and gratitude towards their teachers. Many students also expressed their gratitude by making cards. We also had A small celebration with all the teachers along with our Principal Rev. Sr. Philomena Sequeira and our Manager Rev. Fr. Austin Norris. We enjoyed the fun filled games and were so excited to win gifts. The students really made our day with their amazing performances and wishes. Indeed it was a day well spend.
