The Feast of St Jean Marie Vianney, the patron of all priests falls on August 4 of every year.
We, at St Elias High School, Primary Section, felicitated our three priests, Rev Frs Austin Norris, Ashlyn Chand and Jodman Pereira on August 6 this year – a delay due to the rains. Unfortunately, Frs Ashlyn Chand and Jodman Pereira could not be present.
A very meaningful prayer service was conducted by Teachers Claudine D’Souza and Elvira Mendonca . The school choir was in attendance and they sang a few hymns in their melodious voices.
The qualities of our priests were depicted in a hymn along with placards artistically done by Tr. Elvira Mendonca
As a token of our love, our Headmistress, Mrs. Plassy Braganza presented a card and a spray of handmade flowers to our three fathers.
Our choir wished the fathers in song while Fr Austin Norris cut the cake.
Rev Fr Austin Norris addressed us and explained about Vianney Sunday to our students.
Fr Austin Norris very kindly distributed the cake to the children who participated in the prayer service.
It was a simple yet beautiful service.
